Group ceremony in the Netherlands
A full day with legal psilocybin truffles, a maximum of ten participants and two facilitators at our location in Vijfhuizen.

A psilocybin ceremony is more than taking truffles. The setting, screening, people around you and the way the day closes all shape the experience.
Mental Health Temple has guided psilocybin ceremonies since 2018. Approximately 1,500 participants have taken part under guidance. We use legal psilocybin truffles, also known as sclerotia.
This is not a medical treatment and MHT is not a research institution. We do not promise relief from symptoms or a specific personal result. The intake helps us assess whether the ceremony appears appropriate, but it cannot remove all risk.
The day
You receive practical details before arrival. This is the overall structure you can expect.
Before the ceremony, we discuss your health, medication, reasons for joining and whether participation appears suitable.
You meet the group and facilitators, hear how the day will unfold and take time to settle before anything begins.
The effects generally last four to six hours. Most participants lie down with an eye mask while music supports the setting.
As the effects subside, there is time to move, drink and eat something small. Nobody is rushed out of the experience.
The group reflects on the day and shares a prepared dinner before leaving the location.

When it becomes difficult
MHT uses “bad trip” as a broad term for a difficult experience that may involve fear, panic, grief or confusion. A difficult emotion is not automatically something that must be stopped. Facilitators first allow space for your process while observing whether you can move through it yourself.
If you remain stuck in a repetitive thought or emotional loop, a facilitator may use questions and other guidance techniques to help bring movement back into the experience. Even with preparation and guidance, an unpleasant experience or symptoms afterwards cannot be ruled out.
