Then there is something you should know before you book: we run one-day ceremonies, not multi-day retreats.
People travel to the Netherlands for this because psilocybin truffles are legal here and a guided ceremony is not possible in much of Europe. Our participants come from across the continent for exactly that reason.
Most of what you will find when you search for a retreat here is a residential programme: several days, accommodation included, often in a group that stays together throughout. That is a real format and it suits some people very well.
It is not what we do, and we would rather you know that now than when you arrive. A ceremony with us is a single day. You come in the early afternoon, the experience lasts four to six hours, and the day closes with a reflection and a meal together before you leave.
For many people that is the more practical option. You do not need to take a week off, you are not committing to living with a group of strangers, and one day costs considerably less than a residential programme. But if what you want is a week away, we are honestly not the right place.
What to know before you travel
The practical answers most people ask us for first.
One day, not a week
A ceremony usually runs from around 13:00 until 20:00. You arrive in the afternoon and leave after dinner the same evening.
Close to Schiphol
The practice is in Vijfhuizen, between Amsterdam and Haarlem and a short drive from Schiphol Airport. There is free parking at the location.
Everything in English
The intake call, the guidance on the day, the reflection afterwards and all emails are in English if you book in English.
Plan to stay the night
The day ends in the evening and you will not want to travel far afterwards. Book somewhere nearby rather than a flight home the same night.
One all-in price
A group ceremony is €299 per person, covering the intake, the whole day, dinner and the follow-up call. Accommodation and travel are not included.
One thing we have to be clear about
Participants in a group ceremony receive a microdose to take home and use a couple of days later. That works well if you live here.
If you are travelling back to another country, it does not. Psilocybin is prohibited in many places, and carrying it across a border can be a criminal offence where you live or travel through. Tell us during the intake that you are coming from abroad, and do not take it with you.
Before you book
Every participant has a telephone intake first, wherever you are calling from. That is not a formality: there are circumstances in which we do not facilitate participation, and we would rather establish that before you book a flight.

Questions from abroad
Is psilocybin legal in the Netherlands?
Psilocybin truffles are legally available in the Netherlands. Mushrooms containing psilocybin have been banned here since 2008. We work exclusively with legal truffles. The law in your own country may be different, and you are responsible for knowing what applies to you.
Do you run a multi-day psilocybin retreat?
No. We run one-day ceremonies. You arrive in the early afternoon, the experience lasts four to six hours, and the day closes with a reflection and a shared meal. There is no accommodation and no multi-day programme. If a residential retreat is what you are looking for, we are not that.
Can I fly in and out on the same day?
We would not advise it. A ceremony usually finishes around 20:00 and you will have had an intense day. Plan an overnight stay nearby and travel home the following day.
Is the ceremony held in English?
Yes. If you book through the English calendar, the intake call, the guidance during the day and every email you receive are in English.
Where exactly are you, and how do I get there?
The practice is at Vijfhuizerdijk 226 in Vijfhuizen, in the province of North Holland between Amsterdam and Haarlem. It is a short drive from Schiphol Airport, and there is free parking directly at the location.
Do people really travel from abroad for this?
Yes. Participants come to us from across Europe, largely because a guided psilocybin ceremony is not possible in their own country.
